About/Disclaimer
With eyes wide open, it is my humble concern to write about the world as to how I see it and to what I am thinking about it.
This website is designed to combine own thoughts and experiences with news and stories from other sources, I consider to be adequate and topically interesting. The prime motivation of this blog is to contribute to information plurality as well as to comment on and reveal interrelations of worldwide society and politics with a focus on conflict, humanitarian and development issues, in particular with regards to DR Congo/Great Lakes Region, Larger Sub-Saharan Africa, Haiti, and the United Nations.
As a political science/peace and conflict studies graduate and PhD student who has been to conflict regions at various occasions, I pursue the aim of cautiously and carefully analyse instants of crisis, turmoil, and political tension. I am deeply aware of the possibility that I might be wrong in repeated instances. Therefore I hope to engage in larger discussion with other experts and observers for whose opinion and comment I am extremely thankful. Notwithstanding, I take on responsibility for anything on this blog produced on my own.
